CHANHASSEN, Minn.
, Jan. 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Life Time Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by Life Time Inc. (NYSE: LTH), is committed to supporting initiatives that inspire Healthy People, a Healthy Planet, and a Healthy Way of Life.

During the Life Time Miami Marathon And Half Weekend (February 1-2), the Life Time Foundation is leading efforts to enhance and invest in the Miami community. Initiatives include:

  • January 31-February 1: At the Miami Famous Expo, the Life Time Foundation will bring fun and educational activations to life for attendees of all ages, featuring a dice challenge game, sign-making station and more.

  • February 1: The Life Time Foundation is collaborating with Clean Miami Beach and funding the efforts to clean up Nikki Beach following the Life Time Tropical 5K finish. Clean Miami Beach is dedicated to keeping the local community and natural habitats free of garbage and harmful pollutants with primary focus on single-use plastics. Through hands-on public cleanups and educational workshops, they promote and uphold preservation and conservation. This event is open to athletes, spectators and the public.

  • February 2: More than 800 Miami-Dade County school students will complete the Final Mile of their 16-week long marathon program. All participants will receive a hard-earned medal upon crossing the Finish Line in downtown Miami alongside thousands of Marathon and Half Marathon adult participants. With the support of the Life Time Foundation, the Life Time Kids Run Miami youth running program is offered free of charge to all Miami-Dade County Middle School students. They will complete their final mile at the race-day finish line at 11 a.m. Families and friends can join the Life Time Foundation’s on-course cheer station at the start of the Kids Run for shade, noise-makers, and fun.

  • February 2: Miami-Dade County Middle Schoolers won’t be the only ones to cross the finish line. Forty-two Athletes are racing to support the Life Time Foundation, with each athlete raising at least $1,000 to participate. Life Time is pleased to offer the Foundation Athlete Program – a great way for athletes to support Healthy People and Healthy Planet initiatives while competing in some of the nation’s most iconic endurance events.

  • Beyond race weekend: The Life Time Foundation continues its support with a $75,000 grant to The Education Fund to support the Food Forests for Schools program, which helps provide an outdoor space for students to increase academic achievement, improve their health, and learn more about the environment, while increasing the number of trees that provide both canopy and an abundance of high-nutrient food.

“Our commitment to fostering a healthy planet, promoting youth movement, and enhancing youth nutrition aligns with Life Time’s mission to help people live healthy, happy lives, and with those of our partner organizations,” said Sarah Emola, Director of the Life Time Foundation. “We look forward to participating in and contributing to the community during and beyond Miami Marathon weekend.”
