New Award for Iridium Edge Solar Trackers to Support the Monitoring and Management of High-Value Assets Globally Deployed in Peacekeeping Missions and Field Operations

, Feb. 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — NextPlat Corp (NASDAQ: NXPL) (NASDAQ: NXPLW) (“NextPlat” or the “Company”), a global e-Commerce provider, today announced that its subsidiary, Global Telesat Communications Ltd (“GTC”) has been awarded a new satellite-based asset tracking services contract from a global humanitarian aid customer (the “Customer”) following a public tender.

Under the new contract, the second awarded to GTC by the Customer, it will provide Iridium Edge® Solar satellite asset trackers and recurring airtime services contracts to the Customer who will utilize the products to monitor and track assets such as vehicles, heavy machinery and shipping containers typically deployed in challenging environments. The award follows feasibility and effectiveness testing of various satellite-based tracking systems and technologies to help reduce the risk of loss or theft of these high value assets. The initial one-year award includes the option to extend the contract for up to an additional two years.
